Itinerary
A driver will pick you up from Marrakech Menara Airport and transfer you to your hotel or riad in Marrakech city center.
We provide a transportation service from Marrakech airport to your accommodation in the city. Upon your arrival, our representative will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name and will escort you to the vehicle. The transfer will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
You will be taken directly and promptly to the entrance of the hotel or riad, wherein our driver will assist you with your luggage and confirm your arrival.
The transportation service includes your pick up from the airport and drop off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech, ensuring a smooth and comfortable start to your stay.
The Morocco desert tour departs from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. You will travel through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. The winding road offers beautiful scenery with different colors and Berber villages along the way.
The first stop will be AIT BARKA VILLAGE around 10am to take photos, stretch your legs and have breakfast if desired. This is where the highest part of the High Atlas mountains begins at TIZI N TICHKA. The second stop will be at the summit of Tizi N'Tichka pass.
Upon arrival at AIT BEN HADDOU, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a local guide will explain the history of this amazing heritage site. You will then have around 1 hour for lunch.
The journey continues through the Rose Valley, Skoura palm grove to Dades valley and gorges. The first night will be spent at a typical Moroccan hotel located in the heart of Dades gorges in southern Morocco. Dinner, breakfast and an overnight stay in Dades gorges are included.
You will depart from your hotel in Dades Gorges at 8 AM after a typical Moroccan breakfast. Taking the road of 1000 Kasbahs driving around the colorful Berber villages of Dades valley. 45 km further, you will arrive in Tineghir. It is famous for its beautiful palm groves and Jewish quarter.
Upon arriving at Todra Gorges (Todgha), you will have free time to hike along the 300m high canyons. It's a favorite spot for mountain climbers.
Next you will continue on to the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. You will have free time for lunch along the way before arriving in Erfoud.
Once you reach the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will take a 1 hour 30 minute camel ride at sunset to reach the oasis camp. You will spend the night in a bivouac in the Merzouga Sahara dunes under nomadic tents or out under the starry sky. You can play drums with the camel drivers.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in a Merzouga Sahara desert camp.
We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy and admire the beautiful sunrise in the desert and take photos of the sunrise over the dunes, undoubtedly one of the best moments in the Merzouga desert.
After a typical breakfast in our camp, we will return by camels to the base to take a shower and then we will take the road to Fez passing through the beautiful Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Midelt to the Cedar Forest where we will stop to visit the famous wild monkeys.
We continue our desert trip through the Middle Atlas mountains until arriving at Fez in the evening. En route, we will pass through:
• The beautiful Ziz Valley
• The town of Errachidia
• The town of Midelt
• The Cedar Forest where we will see the wild monkeys
• The scenic Middle Atlas mountains range
Arriving to the imperial city of Fes in the evening will conclude this desert adventure.
On this day, you will discover Fes, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco; vibrant, noisy, fascinating and overwhelming - a feast for the senses. Enter the old city, arguably one of the world's most fascinating and complex old cities.
In the Middle Ages, Fes was one of the world's centers of education and culture, Islamic and Jewish. Its religious institutions and libraries are legendary, and its mosques are renowned. Walk through the twisting streets and alleyways, passing donkeys loaded with goods, and explore the specialized sections of the souk.
Filled with historic khans, medresses and dye-pits, fruit and herb stalls, and with the sound of chickens, spices and hammering of copper, you can imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages.
Spend the day exploring the old city, visiting attractions like Medresse el Attarine , the tanneries and the beautifully restored 18th century Fondouk Nejjarine inn. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing, away from the buzz of the medina.
We will depart early in the morning to make our way to Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains to enjoy the views of the majestic mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the most stunning villages nestled at the feet of the Rif Mountains.
The Medina of Chefchaouen has a distinct Spanish style, making it a fascinating place to visit. The town is also known for its blue-washed walls and alleyways, giving it a scenic and calm atmosphere.
Some key highlights:
• The scenic drive through the Rif Mountains, taking in lush green valleys and dramatic peaks
• Arrival in the picturesque blue-washed village of Chefchaouen with its narrow, winding alleyways
• The Spanish influence in the architecture and style of the Medina dating back to the colonial period
• The laid-back and calm atmosphere in contrast to the busy cities
Chefchaouen is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle and appreciate the natural beauty of the Rif Mountains.
After having breakfast in Chefchaouen, we will make our way to Rabat.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Hassan Tower. The tower is a minaret built in the 12th century that remains unfinished. It's an iconic landmark in Rabat.
Then we will continue our journey to Casablanca, where you can visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. Built in 1993, it's considered the largest mosque in Africa and the seventh largest in the world.
The key attractions on this itinerary are:
• The Hassan Tower in Rabat, an unfinished minaret that is still standing impressively after 800 years
• A chance to see Rabat, the capital and largest city of Morocco
• The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, a stunning example of modern Islamic architecture and engineering
Visiting these two iconic landmarks will give you a glimpse into Morocco's rich architectural and Islamic heritage.
After approximately 3 hours on the road, we will arrive in the captivating city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, our driver will drop you off at your hotel or riad.
You will have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your own pace. Marrakech offers a wealth of attractions and things to see and do:
• Walk through the main Jamaa El Fna square, the heart of the city with street performers, food stalls and storytellers
• Wander the narrow, labyrinthine alleyways of the medina peppered with palaces, riads and mosques
• Visit the bustling souks and markets filled with local crafts, spices and goods
• Admire the iconic Koutoubia Mosque and Minaret that dominates the city's skyline
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and transfer you to Marrakech Menara Airport for your departure flight.
