Marrakech to Merzouga Desert: 4-Day Trip.

Departing from Marrakech, we will cross the High Atlas of Morocco with an altitude of 2260 meters. The journey continues towards Ait Ben Hadou, where we will explore the village's culture and beautiful landscapes. Kasr Ait Ben Hadou is located in the foothills of the southern slopes of the High Atlas in the Province of Ouarzazate. It is the most famous ksar in the Ounila Valley and a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. The ksar is a collective grouping of dwellings, mainly inside the defensive walls that are reinforced by angle towers and pierced with a baffle gate. The houses crowd together, ranging from modest to small urban castles with high angle towers and upper sections decorated with motifs in clay brick. Buildings and community areas can also be found in the ksar. It is registered by UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
After exploring the village, we will have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou. The journey will then take us through Ouarzazate and towards the "valley of 1000 Kasbahs" Dades Valley, where we will spend a fantastic night.

After a restful night's sleep, you'll be treated to a delicious breakfast and fresh country air in the village. Our journey will continue with a visit to the Dades Gorges, followed by a drive to Merzouga, passing through Boumalne Dades and stopping to explore the stunning Todgha Gorge (which towers 300 meters high) in Tinghir. The Todra Gorge, located on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, is renowned as one of the most magnificent canyons in the world. We'll pause for lunch along the way, then visit the old irrigation system before proceeding to Merzouga. Upon arriving, you'll ride camels to the desert camp, where you'll watch the sunset and spend an unforgettable night in the desert. The desert is an ideal location for adventurous camel treks and camping under the twinkling stars.

After waking up, we will ride camels to capture the beautiful sunrise and return to the hotel for breakfast. We will then proceed with our journey towards Agdz, stopping for lunch at a kasbah hotel in Tamnougalt, an ancient village located near Agdz. After lunch, we will explore the village and its palm groves. Tamnougalt is a unique place that offers a one-of-a-kind experience. You will spend the evening and night under a sky filled with countless stars while enjoying Moroccan music, dance, and a delicious meal.

After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, we will begin our journey back to Marrakech. We will pass through Ouarzazate, which is renowned for its cinema museum and studios. This town has become a popular destination for international film companies due to its picturesque surroundings. The town is also famous for its palm oases, wide streets, beautiful red-earthed riads, and the partially restored Kasbah Taourirt, which is recognized by UNESCO. We will take our lunch on the road before arriving in Marrakech on our private transport, which will ensure your comfort throughout the journey.
